Thank you for choosing JJ Benson Inc. for your custom furniture piece. We are excited to provide you with quality custom furniture. As a valued customer, there are a few items concerning the properties of cement and concrete décor and art that may affect the appearance of the final product. We would like you to know what these characteristics are to ensure you are fully satisfied with your custom piece:
Our cement and concrete line of furniture décor are specifically designed to be easy to clean and maintain while providing a rustic and elegance appearance.
Clean with a dry rag and if necessary occasionally apply a thin layer of wax on top of the sealant coat to maintain the glossy appearance of the finished product. Only use mild detergent as necessary being sure to wipe clean when finished to avoid any possible chemical reaction.
Avoid dropping, we take special care with design and packaging of our products but by nature concrete (especially smaller pieces) are more prone to cracking and breaking when exposed to blunt force impacts. Our piece are more that capable of withstanding daily use however they are not recommended for “playing catch” or using as a work bench unless specifically designed and reinforced for such task.
Moving, both concrete and cement are proportionally heavy for their size so please be careful when moving or transporting them and be sure to use proper lifting techniques.
Finishes are susceptible to discoloration due to airborne particles such as cooking, grilling, smoke, fireplaces, candles, grease, etc…Prolonged exposure to natural or artificial light and/or moisture may also cause discoloration; as well as, the age of the concrete.
