Thank you for choosing JJ Benson Inc. for your custom furniture piece. We are excited to provide you with quality custom furniture. As a valued customer, there are a few items concerning properties of upcycled décor and art that may affect the appearance of the final product. We would like you to know what these characteristics are to ensure you are fully satisfied with your custom piece:
Our craftsmen are highly skilled professionals with decades of experience and take special care to properly clean, inspect, sanitize, and assemble the items that we restore and upcycle in keeping with the highest industry standards. It is necessary to point out a few basic things for proper maintenance and cleaning.
Clean with a dry rag and if necessary occasionally. Only use mild detergent as necessary being sure to wipe clean when finished to avoid any possible chemical reaction.
Avoid dropping, we take special care with the design and packaging of our products but by nature, most of our upcycled pieces are made of metal, wood, or other heavy materials that can cause damage to themselves or your floors if dropped.
Integration of materials and components we take extensive precautions to ensure proper fit and alignment of all our refurbished pieces to include properly insulating electrical components and providing instructions to properly transport and/or assemble pieces so if you have any questions please reference the included instructions or contact us for guidance before continuing.
Patina, as our upcycled pieces are designed to maintain either historic or sentimental values we sometimes incorporate either faux finishes or parts of the object’s original condition as design elements.
Finishes are susceptible to discoloration due to airborne particles such as cooking, grilling, smoke, fireplaces, candles, grease, etc…Prolonged exposure to natural or artificial light and/or moisture may also cause discoloration; as well as, the age.
