Custom Work Contract
Since our roots are in creating custom pieces of art, we have been blessed to grow to the point where we rarely do custom work. We are occasionally approached with requests to create such unique and artistic pieces that we may occasionally accept, but we mainly sell our creations, so if you want something custom, feel free to contact us. In general, our custom creations process has remained the same since our founding so please click on the above picture to view our PDF contract or read the text version below. Every custom order requires a signed copy of the contract, which remains on file with us.
Thank you for your business! We are a family-based business and very excited to provide you with quality custom furniture. To ensure you receive the best service we are providing a customer agreement outlining the terms and conditions for the order and sale. Please read and initial next to each item below:
Deposit:
_____ A deposit of fifty-percent of the order total is required before work can begin to assist in covering materials and labor. This will be applied to the amount of total sale.
Order Completion:
_____ I do my best to complete orders on schedule; however, completion dates are my best guess estimates and are not a guarantee. Occasional delays in time frames will occur. I will make every effort to complete orders on schedule; however, occasionally issues beyond my control arise which may affect things, such as, the availability of certain parts necessary to complete the ordered items.
_____ Please understand orders are processed on a first come first serve basis and to be fair to my customers orders will be completed in the order received. I will make every effort to have the order ready within the estimated time frame agreed to, but circumstances may arise that change the actual date of completion (ie: product or material availability, changes in customer requests, having to pull extra shifts at my “day job”, etc…).
Order Pick Up or Delivery:
_____ Once the order is complete I will notify the customer to arrange for pick up or delivery. Please be available for the agreed upon pick up or delivery date and time. Due to being a small family-based business I am unable to store items for an extended period of time. If arrangements have not been made after 7 attempts to contact and notify the customer for pick up or delivery; the order will be listed for sale and the customer will forgo any right or claim to the order. Attempted contact dates and time will be recorded on the back of this form.
_____ Dates and times arranged for pick up of orders are flexible and open to customer availability.
_____ Delivery of orders are subject to the availability of a vehicle to transport the order and only one scheduled delivery attempt will be made. A delivery fee will be charged to cover the expenses associated with delivery (ie: shop closure, price of gas, etc…).
_____ Inspections should be made upon delivery or pick up to ensure it meets specifications. Customers should indicate dissatisfaction with or damage to the order prior to taking possession of the order. I guarantee my work and will gladly make the reasonable changes (referencing our written conversations and receipt) free of charge or repair damage prior to the customer accepting and taking possession of the order.
_____ Once the customer accepts and takes possession of the order I am no longer responsible for the item or any damage that occurs in their possession (ie: falling out of the back of a truck after pick up or damage incurred from other persons). I will not be able to repair or make changes to the order free of charge or have the order returned once the sale is final and the customer has accepted and taken possession.
_____ Final payment is due at time of pick up or delivery.
Refund Policy:
_____ Due to the nature of the work, I am only able to issue a refund before any work has begun on the order; as parts and materials can only be returned in a new or unused condition. Please ensure to contact me prior to starting the work so a full refund can be issued.
